Watsonx.data intelligence now provides a managed Model Context Protocol (MCP) server, enabling seamless integration between your enterprise data management platform and the AI agents of your choice. The "Infer text" and "Infer text event stream" endpoints of the watsonx.ai text generation API are now deprecated and will be removed on 14 Mar 2027. Move over any prompt sessions, templates, notebooks, and AI services that use the text generation API to the watsonx.ai chat API.

Starting 2 Apr 2026, Structured and Freeform mode tabs in Prompt Lab will be removed. Please use chat mode instead.

• IBM Cloud LinuxONE Virtual Server for VPC (s390x architecture)
• IBM Cloud Dedicated Host for VPC (s390x architecture)
• IBM Cloud Hyper Protect Virtual Server for VPC
• IBM Cloud Wazi as a Service
